  • Aircraft Mechanic and Inspector

Aircraft mechanics and inspectors inspect aircraft parts and systems, diagnose problems, and repair or replace damaged components. They work on engines, landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, and other systems needed for safe operation. They may read maintenance manuals, follow technical procedures, test completed work, and record repairs and inspections. Some tasks involve checking aircraft before and after flights, finding defects, and confirming that work meets safety rules. In some settings, they also help certify that an aircraft is airworthy when allowed by their role and employer requirements. The work can include both regular maintenance and urgent repairs to keep aircraft available and safe.

  • Air Pilots

Air pilots prepare for flights by reviewing weather, route details, aircraft condition, fuel needs, and safety rules. During flight, they operate the aircraft and monitor instruments, navigation systems, communications, and changing conditions. They follow company procedures and air traffic instructions, and they work with co-pilots, flight engineers, and cabin or ground staff when needed. Depending on the employer, pilots may carry passengers, move cargo, or fly specialized missions such as training, charter, or government operations. Some pilots also help with pre-flight and post-flight reports, and they may complete checks, paperwork, and briefings before and after each trip. Accuracy, teamwork, and calm decision-making are important every day.
